Safe traffic management thanks to Preco Cryl cold spray plastic
The longest bridge in Germany, at 4.1 km, links the Hanseatic City of Stralsund on the mainland to the island of Rügen. Around 22,000 tonnes of steel and 180,000 tonnes of concrete were used in the construction of the new bridge, which was officially opened in October 2007.
Up to 23,000 vehicles make the Stralsund crossing every day. This heavy traffic is extremely demanding on the road markings. They must function reliably in all weathers and traffic volumes year in, year out. Preco Cryl cold spray plastic, which was developed by Triflex, was the Type II road marking used and it meets the specifications for safe, visible traffic guidance.
